Homework for 4/29


Social Studies
Students who were in class and participated in the station activity have no homework.

Students who were absent should read through the information on four of the six stations and answer the questions on the station worksheet.  See the blog for all stations and questions.

Math:  
periods 1/2:  worksheet 10-3  #40-56, worksheet 10-4 #10-50, column 1
period 5: Study guide 5-3
period 6/7:  p. 552  18-39

Science: 
DNA extraction lab is due Wednesday through Edmodo by Midnight! 10 points a day late penalty.

English:  
Quiz tomorrow on verb tenses and progressive forms.  Write one sentence for each of the six verb tenses and six progressive forms.  Presentations are happening in class all week, after the quiz.

1.  What reasons did the Texans have for declaring independence?
2.  Were the Anglo-Texans honorable men, fighting for freedom, or were they greedy slaveholders?  What evidence from the documents supports your position?
3.  Which of the four pieces of evidence do you find more/less trustworthy?  Why?
4.  Were the Americans living in Texas justified in declaring independence from Mexico in 1836?  Explain.
