English Homework: Be rehearsing your presentations if you did not go today as they are ongoing and are a major grade this quarter. There is a grading rubric on the English Blog and should be accessed for purposes of ensuring that you have all the needed components. 


Science Homework: If you did not submit your full lab report today to Master Clapp it is late and must, must be given to him ASAP since it is already late. 


Math Periods 1 and 7: Graphing Puzzles due tomorrow. 

Math Periods 2 and 5: Final Exam Review. FINAL JUNE 9TH...BE PREPARING!!!!!!!!!!

Family Consumer Science:     I. Projects need to be completed for the textile unit ASP .  This can be done during team time, lunch , study hall or after school.  This is very important to complete.

II.  Fire Safety Assignment is due tomorrow, Friday a) A check list of the home base to check for problems that might cause a fire.  100 points 

b)   The other side of this paper need to be completed with 2 escape route out of the students bedroom if there was a fire.   They need to be independent of each other not out the same door. 100 points
If there is a parent signature then 50 more points.

English: Your final assessment, which is your Pearl Essay, is due tomorrow to Mrs. McDonnough. You should have been working on this for the past two weeks. It is due in final draft form.

Social Studies:  Students should have about half of their planning completed by Friday (instructions, questions, etc..)  Also, students need to bring in any materials they need to construct their games.  Students are not required to bring in any materials, but may do so if they want to use something that is not provided in class. 


FCS: The students were given a permission slip for Seacoast School of Technology on Tuesday April 28th. This needs to be in now. Anyone who had it on the 29th received 50 points. This does not cost anything. We just need to have a parent/guardian signature. 

The letter home from Mrs. Mac for textile project plans is needed for class. This form needs to be handed in by Friday May 9th. If this fee is difficult for anyone please contact Mrs. Mac to let her know and she can make arrangements to assist with the cost.

2- Answer the "follow-up questions"at the bottom of the organizers.
3- Use information from the station organizer or last week's lesson on the Indian Removal Act to finish the Kaleidoscope from last week.  Tomorrow, students will participate in a discussion on Andrew Jackson and be able to use their Kaleidoscopes.  Make sure to put as much information as possible about Jackson onto the sheet.

Social Studies: Students taking honors or cp next year should answer 9 questions.  Students taking Academic should answer at least 7 questions.


Science: Alternative Energy Project Presentation this Weds during class. Please bring any and all resources that you will need to complete this for the presentation tomorrow. 

English: This week students are turning their final drafts into persuasive speeches. They are using an outline and should practice their speeches for ease and length (2 minute minimum/ 4 minute maximum). Students need to use one visual aid during their speech. Visual aid needs to be approved by Mrs. McDonough by Wed (3/12). Speeches will be presented starting next Monday. Also all students need to have there visual aides handed in to Mrs. McDonnough tomorrow. 



Math: Periods 1, 6, and 7: No homework tonight.

Science:

Math: No math homework for all classes over the weekend.

English: Be ready to give persuasive speeches on MONDAY!!!!! This is going to be done complete with visual aid.

Social Studies: Homework- None.

Science: Alternative Energy Project Presentation this Weds during class. Please bring any and all resources that you will need for you visual aide to be worked on in class tomorrow. 

English: This week students are turning their final drafts into persuasive speeches. They are using an outline and should practice their speeches for ease and length (2 minute minimum/ 4 minute maximum). Students need to use one visual aid during their speech. Visual aid needs to be approved by Mrs. McDonough by Wed (3/12). Speeches will be presented starting next Monday.

Math: Periods 1 and 7: No homework 


Periods 2 and 5: Test this Thursday


Periods 6: No homework. 


Art: There are still students that have not turned in their projects.....

Social Studies: Homework is to finish the reading, Cornell notes and to create a plan of action for the United States (a few sentences).  See the attachment on the blog for more information.

Math: Periods 1,6,7 - none
Periods 2,5 - p 470  1-7,12-22   - Test Wednesday

Science: No homework this weekend. 

English: No homework as long as you gave Mrs. McDonnough your two copies of the persuasive essay.

Social Studies:   Homework is to answer the Follow-Up question at the bottom of the video sheet.  If students were not in class they must watch the video link on the blog, take notes, then answer the question in a paragraph.

Science:  No homework. 


English: The final draft of your persuasive essay is due this Friday. There must be two copies of this draft printed out and ready to submit to Mrs. McDonnough for class on Friday. No exceptions. This means that no one can leave the room to print it out during class it must be done when you arrive. 

Final drafts (2 printed copies) due tomorrow at the beginning of class. No one will be excused to go to the library to print. Here is the checklist I put on the Tsunami English blog.

Last Minute Checklist BEFORE You Turn In Your Rough Draft
1. Did you put your paper in MLA format?
 2. Did you include a "works cited" page?
 3. Do you have a hook, some background, and a thesis in your introduction? Is your thesis at the end of your introduction?
 4. Do you have six quotes, one in each of your required body paragraphs? Yes, you can have more than six quotes.
 5. Do you have a "Call to Action" at the end of your essay? Did you ask your audience to DO something?
 6. Did you print two (2) copies of your final draft, ready to be turned in at the beginning of your English class?
   


Math Periods 1 & 7:  Practice Quiz due tomorrow. You will go over it before the assessment. 


Math Periods 2 & 5:  Wksht 8-5 #'s 1-40. 


Math Period 6:  No homework tonight.
