Math Periods 1 and 7- #'s 1-22 on Worksheet. 

Math Periods 2 and 5- Page 582- #'s8-18, 26, 28 all evens. 

Math Period 6- Finish the front side of the worksheet that was started in class today. 


Science- Science in the news is due on Tuesday and rehearse your Meiosis and Mitosis project if you have not yet presented. 


Social Studies- Homework:  Use the blog to finish your research on your trail.  Be sure to find information on: obstacles on the trail, landmarks/places along the trail, hardships along the trail, or other information you will use in the creation of the game. 


English-Final assessment/writing assignment from the Pearl is due this Friday. 

FCS- Please remember to bring in your permission slips for the field trip to the SST.  These were given out today and must be returned ASAP.

English: Hall of Heroes due April 30th. Final Major Writing Assessment due 5/2. This is related to the Pearl and should be worked on so you are ready to submit it this Friday.

Start thinking about and planning for your mitosis project that you will have to present to the class. This is due sometime after break.


English: 

Vocabulary quiz tomorrow, study, and use quizlet as your great pre-test study support.


Social Studies:

Periods 1 and 6 and 7:  Study for Vocabulary Test which is Monday.


Science: None, enjoy your weekend and Monday is Twin Day.


English:  Visit the blog and your vocabulary words are on quizlet and the blog. The vocabulary and content driven test for the whole book will be Thursday the 17th. The quiz for chapters 4-6 is on the 15th. The last book assignment is going to be on May 2nd.


Social Studies:  Anybody who participated in the discussion has no homework. For those who did not participate in the discussion for whatever the reason you need to visit Mr. Pope's blog for the alternative assignment which is due Monday.

Math: No homework for all classes tonight.

Science: Study for your assessment tomorrow. There was a review in class today and all should be preparing by reviewing the related worksheet/study guides. All should have them completed and correct as we spent lots of class time reviewing these.

English: Finish reading chapter 6 of "The Pearl" and the related questions. These are due tomorrow. There will be a quiz TUESDAY for chapters 4-6.

Social Studies: Homework: None- students who missed class will have an alternate assignment in class tomorrow.

Homework:  Students who participated in the discussion- none.

Students who missed class, or did not complete their Kaleidoscopes must:

1- Finish the Kaleidoscopes.  Use your assignments on Jackson for information.

2- Answer the Alternative Assignment Question. 


Science:  

Three homework worksheets are due Weds the 9th. They include the following:
  • Modeling cell structure (both sides)
  • Chemical Compounds in Cell
  • Discovering Cells

There is a quiz on Thursday. Protein Synthesis, Organelles and Cell Theory


Math:

Period 6-puzzle worksheet. First half only.

English: Prepare for you quiz tomorrow. This quiz tomorrow is going to be an open book quiz that assesses your understanding of the first three chapters of The Pearl. 

Science: Finish your modeling cell structures, and role of organelles worksheet. 


Social Studies:

1- Finish any stations you did not get to in class.  Record answers onto the organizers.
2- Answer the "follow-up questions"at the bottom of the organizers.
3- Use information from the station organizer or last week's lesson on the Indian Removal Act to finish the Kaleidoscope from last week.  Tomorrow, students will participate in a discussion on Andrew Jackson and be able to use their Kaleidoscopes.  Make sure to put as much information as possible about Jackson onto the sheet.
